MINISTRIES

WE THINK CHURCH CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE

Church doesn't just happen when we're sitting in the pew.

Church happens

That is what it means to put faith into action.

That is what it means to RETHINK CHURCH.

It's rooted in our Wesleyan heritage

Free Community Suppers

First United Methodist Church serves a free community supper every third Wednesday of the month from 5:00-6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome. Check out our Facebook page for updates on the menu!

Music Ministry

Music at First United Methodist Church isn't limited to Sunday morning worship. We hold choir rehearsals every Monday night at 6:00 pm, lead worship services at the local nursing home, hold fundraising concerts for our community fuel assistance fund, the choir has led several service projects and more. We would love for you to join us!

Christian Education

Children's Sunday School takes place from September to June during our 11:00 am Worship Service. Adult Bible Studies are also available throughout the week. Check the calendar for times and study topics.

Street Kitchen Food Cart

Street Kitchen is a mobile food cart which is used throughout the year for fundraising and outreach. We set up shop on Main Street in Lincoln on Fridays throughout the summer and give away free lunches. Look for us at the annual town tree lighting and other community events! Be sure to follow Street Kitchen on Facebook for updates!

Nurture and Outreach

The Nurture and Outreach Committee is in charge of nurturing congregation members and community members who need a helping hand or simply a reason to smile. At our monthly meetings, cards are sent and sunshine bags delivered to those who are sick or going through a difficult time. At Christmas and Easter, cookie bags are filled and delivered to shut-ins. In the spring, we plant and place container gardens in the community.
